Give every cat its own space

A completed board has one cat in every row, every column, and every colored region. A color may form an irregular shape, so follow the whole region rather than treating each square as a separate territory.

Two cats cannot share a row or a column. Cats also cannot occupy touching squares, even when the squares meet only at a corner. All of these conditions apply at the same time.

Count the rows, not the decorations

On an N × N board with N colored regions, the one-cat-per-row rule means the finished board contains N cats. A 6 × 6 example therefore needs six cats. Board size is an example here, not a claim about a particular app level.

App controls and our demo

The developer’s store description says to double-tap a tile to place a cat in the mobile app. Our website uses a different, simplified interaction: one tap cycles from empty to cat, then X, then empty again.

Our demo does not enforce rules, deduct hearts, detect completion, or tell you whether a placement is correct. Use it as a visual place to explore the rules.

Rule and app details checked November 4, 2026: Google Play developer description and Apple App Store. Tips are deductions from those placement constraints.
